Incentive payment and support West Sussex

Biggest support incentive payments for apprenticeships ever

Last month, the government announced that cash payments for employers who take on apprentices were increasing to their highest level ever. These grants are live now but you need to move fast because they end on 31st January 2022.

Now, for an apprentice of any age, you can claim a grant of £3,000 to put towards their training, their salary or any equipment you need to buy. This is up from £1,500 (or £2,000 for those aged 24 and under).

And this is in addition to the existing £1,000 payment for all new 16-18 year-old apprentices (and those aged under 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan, where that applies). So, an employer of a 16 – 18 year-old will receive £4000.

So what do you do next?

We’re here to help you take advantage of this grant getting the full benefit for your business. In West Sussex, we’ve teamed up with Steve Willis Training who have advisors ready & waiting to take you through every step of the process, from finding your apprentice, to getting them working for you.
