What apprentices will learn

  • systems engineering lifecycle processes
  • the distinction between risk, issue, and opportunity and the different forms of
    treatment available
  • interface management and its potential impact on the integrity of the system
  • how to co-ordinate technical outputs and work of multi-disciplinary teams
  • apply creativity, innovation and problem-solving techniques to system development
    or operation


  • apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to
    taking the end-point assessment (GCSE grades 9 to 4 or A* to C)
  • MSc degree in systems engineering
