Try A Trade

A unique programme for schools and young people in the West Midlands

We’re working with 16 West Midlands schools to get a talented group of young people work-ready for a career in domestic trades and then we want to help them find apprenticeships and traineeships with local employers in summer/autumn 2022

This is an amazing opportunity for trades businesses in the region – of whatever size – to get access to the tradespeople of the future.

About us

We are the HomeServe Foundation, the registered charity of Home Serve plc.
We’re working to get more people into trades apprenticeships, helping the UK’s trades community and helping to reduce youth unemployment.

More info

Flexi-job apprenticeship will allow agencies to be the apprentice’s employer for the duration of their apprenticeship while placing the apprentice with other host employers for short term placements. This will enable apprentices to move between businesses as they complete their apprenticeship, while remaining employed throughout by the agency.
